How do I convert audio files?

Simply drag and drop your audio files into the converter, select your desired format and quality settings, then click "Initialize Conversion". Your file will be processed locally on your device.

What formats does Zero Audio support?

Zero Audio supports WAV, FLAC, MP3, M4A, AIFF, OGG, and SPOTIFY formats. You can also customize sample rates (8kHz - 192kHz) and bit depths (8-bit - 32-bit).

Is my audio uploaded to a server?

No. Zero Audio processes all audio locally on your device using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your computer, ensuring complete privacy and security.

Why is conversion taking a long time?

Processing time depends on file size, format complexity, and your device's CPU. Converting to lossless formats like FLAC takes longer than lossy formats like MP3.

Can I batch convert multiple files?

Yes! You can drop multiple files at once, and they'll all be queued for conversion with the same settings. Check the "Active Workspace" section to track progress.

Troubleshooting

Files won't upload

Check that your files are in a supported format and under 2GB in size. Try refreshing the page and ensuring JavaScript is enabled in your browser.

Conversion failed or stuck

Clear your browser's local storage, refresh the page, and try again. If the issue persists, try a smaller file first to isolate the problem.

Output quality is poor

Audio quality depends on your source file and output settings. Higher sample rates (96kHz+) and bit depths (24-bit+) provide better quality for lossless formats.

Metadata not being preserved

Enable the "Preserve Metadata" toggle in the converter before converting. Note that not all formats preserve all metadata types.
